Our Story
Serendipity is a wonderful thing, that chance that brought Katie and Tim together on a warm summer night back in 2006, when the music was high and the spirits were higher. Against this background of frivolity at the popular nightspot Gwernllwyn in Gorslas, Carmarthenshire, a mutual friend was instrumental in bringing the couple together with a casual introduction, that would signal the beginning of an amazing love story.
But little did the couple know their story had already begun, for after exchanging pleasantries they returned to their own friends to continue their evening. But chance was not to be ignored, as the magic was already at work, and finding herself separated from her friends, Katie sought a familiar face in the crowd and was drawn back to Tim.
New day and page two of their history, as Tim invited Katie on a first date to Pembrey beach. With the waves as backdrop to the attraction they felt for each other, that first date became the first day of their lives together.
Fast forward 12 years, add in a first home, a lovable pup Lola and the birth of their gorgeous tousled haired daughter, Hollie, and the first chapter in their story was written.

The Proposal
Celebrating ten wonderful years together Tim whisked Katie away for a romantic break in St David’s Hotel in Cardiff where he pulled out all the stops. Shopping in Cardiff the next day, Tim bought Katie a ring she loved from Thomas Sabo for their anniversary. He then suggested they go and look at the real thing, so they filled their day looking at rings and playing ‘what if’, as they browsed the jewellery stores in Cardiff.
It was to be another long year before the question was popped, as Tim liked to keep Katie guessing. For their 11th anniversary, once again the destination was Cardiff, this time the Celtic Manor Resort, and following a blissful spa day, Tim did the honours and stooping down to one knee he asked Katie to marry him.
From that moment on, they have never looked back, as Katie became Tim’s bride-to-be and the wedding planning began.
